Of Being a Racist
By Carli Muñoz
In my world, you can be just about anything if you want to be my friend… but not a racist. Racism must be one of the most shameful and despicable conditions that exist and it doesn’t fit in my world. I also believe that transformation is possible and that racism can be eradicated at least on a personal level. The first step would be to quietly look into yourself and know and accept if you are being a racist. It may not be easy or comfortable but if you are able to pierce through the resistance of a million learned fears and justifications you might get somewhere—on your way to freedom.
