A Reflection with Mia

By Carli Muñoz

As Mia my 9-year-old daughter (at the time of this writing) and I were returning from a walk in the park, she asked me what I was thinking. Perhaps using slightly different words, but essentially this is what I replied to her: “Although I often ponder about endless philosophical issues, at the end of the day I don’t care so much for meanings or answers — the query is good enough for me. What does mean a lot to me is taking the time for being still enough to soak in awe the beauty and language of nature and rejoicing upon the goodwill of people around me — and that is something I can live happily with!”
